I'm pretty sure we can all agree on the fact that metallic heels, especially silver ones, are having a huge moment right now. Whether it's a trend with staying power, the verdict is still out. As I've mentioned before on this blog, I only like to take the plunge and invest in pieces that I believe I'll wear for multiple seasons - I have to justify the cost somehow!
Think of a really gorgeous pair of sparkly, strappy Jimmy Choos that you bought to wear for a friend's wedding. Now, let's be honest, how many times are you going to wear those special occasion shoes? A handful? That makes their per-wear cost more than $100 a wear, which is really high. But compare that to the per-wear cost of a pair of black Louboutins that you could wear everyday to work, which would most likely come in at less than $10. Catching on to my logic?
Invest in what you know you'll wear a lot. So if you think you'll wear a pair of metallic Manolos until their soles fall off, make the investment. If you're still deciding on the look, then go for the affordable Charles by Charles David pair. There is a pair for everyone, at every price point.

ReplyDeleteI've been craving a pair of metallic pumps! Love all these options but would probably opt for one of the less expensive pairs as I'm not sure I'd wear them often!
